SC 0146

Japanese sword with Beautiful Geometry by

This is a WW2 sword made by Kaneshige during Showa period. The cutting edge is 65cm long and has bo hi on both sides.

The blade is very sharp and signed, "SAKO KANESHIGE" who was active in Seki before and during WW2.

The geometry is very beautiful and the blade is housed in a shirasaya that has aged nicely over time. The wood habaki is built into the tsuka.

Due to long period in storage and neglected, the polish has sort of frosted with rust spots and stains and I have re-polished the blade, managed to remove most of the rust.
