This model was launched and advertised as The Rolex Prince, "Watch for the distinguished Gentleman" It is also known as the Doctor Watch for the sub-second is used to measure the patient's pulse.
Very rarely seen in 18k pink & white gold and its rarity is further enhanced with an extremely rare silver dial with red enamel numerals. The model and serial numbers are sharply stamped on its back case.
Case and movement in mint shining condition with its movement protector. Some minor surface scratches which could be easily polished off.
In the last 23 years, it's the 2nd red enamel numeral dial that I have seen. There is no word of "Rolex Prince" printed on it and it is rather common in early Princes.
The dial is made of silver, engraved and then applied with red enamel.
Made in early 1930s
