Late Qing Palace Bowl with of Guangxu marking

This was for daily usesage in the Palace during Guangxu period.

In the early 1980s, before the opening of China, stacks of these wares were selling for a few dollars each at state owned stores.

Over the recent years, Chinese Antique prices have gone up hundreds of times for fine rare pieces and prices are much higher than in China itself due to the amount of black money floating around adding to the speculating fever.

This is quite a nice piece but with a short hairline crack. With more collectors coming into the market and due to very high prices of the the high quality items, it would be a matter of time that the attention would be shifted to these lesser important imperial wares.
