Kanenori was one of two Imperial Court appointed artisans and made swords for Meiji Emperor together with Gassan Sadakazu. He also made swords for sucessive emperors, Taisho, Showa and Imperial princes.
Before the MeijiRestoration, he made a sword for Emperor Komei by the order of Prince Arisukawa.
The Tachi is unsigned but certified by NTHK to be made by Minamoto Kanenori during Meiji era.
It comes with sword box, sword stand and other Court accessories and its in mint condition.
