This hefty mumei sword is beuaifully polished and NTHK attributed it to Kunikiyo of early Edo.
The Katana is of very early Shinto (1644) with a cutting edge of 65.5cm and has been shortened at one time after Tokugawa united Japan and implemented the rule of length of swords to be carried. It has recently been judged to be made by Kunikiyo, 3rd Generation.
The tsuba is rabbit design of Edo period and with Meiji period saya. Tsuka has been replaced.
