This is an Osaka katana with deep sori and mounted in a Meiji era tachi koshirae.
The name of the smith is believed to be the 2nd generation " KUNISUKE OF OSAKA KNOWN AS 'NAKA KAWACHI', who was active in Kanbun (1661-1672), middle of 17th Century.
Name could be Gimei and probably made from Western steel.
It is however, a nice tachi that has an extremely sharp edge with a nice koshirae for display.
The cutting edge is 68cm long.
