OBV 1091

Movado, moonphase, gold cap, hand-wind, 1940s

In the earlier years, watch manufacturers wanting to sell their watches at lower prices, laid thin strips of gold on the lugs of their watches fixed with a low karat gold bezel. It gave the watch an expensive look and yet at a much lower price if compared to a full gold piece.

Movement: in good working condition

Dial: Original and aged but still looks good

Bezel: low karat Gold

Strap: Non-factory leather strap.

Remarks: A nice vintage moonphase wristwatch.
