Qing period Sabre with Qianlong marking

This is a Qing period Sabre and the blade has brass inlaid name inscription of Qianlong Emperor with year 1743 on it.

Handle and scabbard with brass fittings decorated with design of dragon in plain wood. Despite its age, the blade is still very sharp.

Provenance: Hermann Historica Auction no. 65, October 2012, lot no. 991, hammer price Euro 1,800.

The last photo depicts the several types of swords, Chinese, Vietnamese, German etc.... bought over many years. Swords tend to get easily rusty in our humid weather and all these need time to clean before storage again.
