Shou to the Chinese is for longevity and it's the first time I am seeing a pair of male and female Shou hanging in the living room of a traditional family. The couple are of 3/4 size of a real person.
The family members told me this couple of Shou has been in the family for years longer than they could remember.
They were unable to tell me the exact age but these were in the family, long before their parents were born.
