This is a very sharp blade that has survived very well through out its 600 years of existence.
The blade has a very sharp cutting edge of 66cm and the tang has 3 holes showing it has been remounted several times. Hamon is suguha and in its old polish.
The koshirae is of edo period and the ito has been rewrapped. 2nd photo showing the blade housed in another edo period saya.
Like all koto swords from Muromachi era, it has some minute age wear. Overall in excellent condition.
