Kanenori is highly rated as a Yen 1million smith, same as Nagamitsu. There are only 4 smiths rated as Yen 2m.
Most of the Yasukuni Shrine smiths were in the Yen 1m group with Yasumitsu, being the only one rated as Yen2m.
The overall condition of this blade is in mint condition, a sign that the sword was not involved in field action.
It's mounted in a civilian samurai mount with full wrpped same tsuka with exposed menuki and fuchi all belonging to edo period.
The 65.5cm blade is of the more slender type and in Minty condition with a suguha hamon.
The saya is custom made and made of wood.
