This is a very well forged gunto with its all original accessories and nicely restored except for a small dent on its saya.
The 65.5cm blade is in its WW2 old polish and still very sharp.
This gunto was brought back to the US as a War trophy and upon the death of the veteran, it was found in the attic rusting away.
I always feel saddened when I received a sword in a neglected condition. Somehow, cleaning this sword was quite easy and now, it looks presentable again. As my skill improves, each and every sword in my collection, I hope to bring it to show case standard.
